Student In The Spotlight
Charlotte Ewing - Age 9.
Charlotte is a fourth grader at Lafayette School in Chatham. She recently began taking private lessons with Mr. Tom to help prepare for a role, but she has been singing and acting from an early age. Charlotte was bit by the theater bug at the age of 5 when she was cast to play Sandy in the musical Annie. Since then she has performed in shows in local theater companies including the title role of Matilda, Tootie in Meet Me in St. Louis, Little Elsa in Frozen, Jr., and the title role of Velveteen Rabbit in a virtual production. She feels especially close to the Spotlight Kids Company and has made several lasting friendships among her castmates. Charlotte loves all things musical, spending time with her sisters, being cozy (the sloth is her spirit animal) and eating anything that contains chocolate! In addition to her primary passion of musical theater, Charlotte also loves to play the piano, take ballet lessons, and play ice hockey, lacrosse and field hockey. Someday she hopes to make it to Broadway but until then she will act and sing anytime, anywhere!
