Show vs. Skills Classes
At Sellwood, our group classes are typically divided into two categories: performance-based show classes and technique-focused skills classes. Many students choose to enroll in both, and every class is taught by our highly experienced instructors.
In our show classes, students work together to build a show through scenes, songs, and dances, that center around a popular theme (ex. KPOP Demon Hunters, Wicked, Descendants, etc.). Each show has a free end-of-class performance with full production elements like lights and sound.
Skills classes focus on developing and refining specific musical theatre disciplines, such as Musical Theatre Dance, Acting, and Singing. These classes emphasize technique, exploration, and traditional training in each area. Families are invited to attend the final class to see what students have been working on!

Note: Students who re-enroll in the same day/time as the winter session will receive 10% off their total class fee. Those who want to switch classes for the spring will receive 5% off their class fee.
