Our Commitment
At Sellwood Studio, we believe that high-quality music and performing arts education should be accessible to all. Our program is designed to offer tuition support to families and individuals who demonstrate financial need, while preserving the sustainability and excellence of our teaching community.
How the Sliding Scale Works
Tuition rates are based on:
- Household income
- Family size
- Adjustments for the local cost of living in Morris County, NJ
We align our scale with the Federal Poverty Guidelines and apply a local adjustment to reflect the higher cost of living in our area. Tuition assistance is available for:
- Private lessons
- Group offerings
How to Apply
Students or families must complete our Tuition Assistance Application Form and upload supporting documentation, including:
- Most recent tax return showing adjusted gross income
- Your two most recent pay stubs
- A statement of need
All applications are reviewed confidentially by studio administration. Applicants will be notified of their assigned tier within 14 business days.
Renewal and Updates
Tuition assistance must be applied for annually or sooner if financial circumstances change.
Available funds are limited and will vary based on demand and availability.
Confidentiality
All submitted documentation is handled with the highest respect for privacy. Information is used exclusively for determining eligibility and is not shared outside the studio’s administrative team.
