Excitement is building as our talented Sellwood Studio students prepare to take the stage at the NATS NYC Student Auditions on November 9, held at Columbia University’s Teachers College.
This annual event brings together some of the best young singers from across the region, and we’re proud to have 11 students representing our studio—ranging from 6th graders to high school seniors—each competing in multiple vocal categories.
Our students and returning champions have been hard at work perfecting their pieces, polishing technique, and fine-tuning performance details in the weeks leading up to the big day. It’s a thrilling opportunity for them to showcase their artistry, gain valuable feedback, and connect with fellow performers and professionals from the wider musical community.
Joining our singers on this exciting adventure are Mr. Tom, Ms. Connie, and our talented studio pianist and accompanist Evan, who will be supporting students throughout the event.
We’re so proud of the dedication and spirit our students bring to these competitions—and no matter the results, this experience is an incredible milestone in their musical journeys.
Stay tuned for updates and highlights from our NATS NYC performers—let’s cheer them on as they take the stage at Columbia!
