  • Who can audition? (Anyone in grades 6-9)
  • What do I prepare? (One song and one monologue - attach link if possible)
  • Do I have to prepare a monologue/song for the same character? (No - we will be considering everyone for every role. Choosing a contrasting song/monologue is a great chance to show your acting range!)
  • What if I’ve never done theatre before? (This is a great place to start!)
  • What’s the rehearsal schedule? (typically 2 evenings a week, historically at 6:00pm on Tuesdays/Thursdays) and Saturdays (3:00pm-6:00pm)

Sellwood Studio's High School Musical Jr. is open to performers in grades 6th through 9th.

Rehearsals and performances will be located in Fellowship Hall at Sellwood Studio, The Presbyterian Church of Madison, 19 Green Avenue, Madison, NJ.

Auditions
Virtual submissions are due by Monday, March 2nd. Please review the audition information for guidance on what to prepare (one song in style of the show or use the provided clip and two monologue) and tips on optimizing your recording. Audition videos should be uploaded or shared at the end of this form.

Callbacks
If needed, virtual callbacks will be sent out during the week of March 9th.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin March 17.
Tuesdays (6:00--8:00pm)
Thursdays (6:00-8:00pm)
Saturdays (3:00pm-5:00pm)
We may hold "flex" rehearsals on Wednesdays and/or Fridays, depending on cast availability.
