Raymond Faiella is a voice teacher, music director, and performer currently pursuing an M.A. in
Music & Music Education at Columbia University, Teachers College. He earned his B.A. in Voice
Performance and Music Education from Northwestern University, where he also completed
certificates in Musical Theatre and Arts Administration.

Raymond specializes in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM), musical theatre, and classical
voice, helping singers develop healthy, sustainable technique while building confidence and
artistic expression. His training in both performance and pedagogy allows him to work across a
wide range of styles, including musical theatre, pop, rock, R&B, soul, country, folk, and classical
voice. His teaching is informed by training with internationally acclaimed performers and
educators, including soprano Patrice Michaels, tenor Norman Reinhardt, voice pedagogue
Melissa Foster, and Tony Award-winning actor and singer Karen Olivo. He believes every
student benefits from a strong technical foundation that can be applied flexibly to the repertoire
they love to sing.

In addition to teaching private voice, Raymond has music directed four full-length musical
productions and has performed in opera, musical theatre, and concert settings, including
Carnegie Hall. His lessons emphasize not only healthy vocal technique, but also storytelling,
physical expression, and stylistic authenticity, encouraging singers to make thoughtful artistic
choices that connect voice and text. Whether students are preparing for auditions,
performances, or singing for personal enjoyment, Raymond tailors each lesson to their
individual goals in a supportive, collaborative, and engaging environment.
