Terms and Conditions for Sellwood Studio of Performing Arts

  1. General Overview Welcome to Sellwood Studio. By enrolling in our private lessons or group classes, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully, as they outline the studio's and its clients' responsibilities and expectations.
  2. Enrollment and Registration All participants must complete the registration process and provide accurate personal information.
  3. Payment Policies 3.1. Tuition for private lessons and group classes must be paid in advance on receipt of the invoice, as agreed upon during registration. 3.2. Late payments may incur additional fees. Please see the late policy for details. 3.3. Payments are non-refundable unless noted otherwise or if the studio cancels classes.
  4. Class Schedule and Attendance 4.1. Class schedules are subject to change. Participants will be notified in advance of any alterations. 4.2. Attendance is crucial to progress. Please notify the studio at least 24 hours before absences. Missed group classes are not eligible for make-up sessions.
  5. Cancellations and Rescheduling 5.1. The studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances, such as instructor illness or inclement weather. Private lesson rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests with less notice may not be accommodated and will be considered billable.
  6. Code of Conduct 6.1. Participants must behave respectfully towards instructors, staff, and fellow students. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the studio without a refund. 6.2. Proper attire must be worn during all classes. 6.3. Using mobile phones or other electronic devices during class is prohibited unless the instructor permits.
  7. Liability Waiver 7.1. Participants acknowledge that performing arts activities involve physical movement and assume all risks associated with participation. 7.2. The studio is not responsible for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or performances. Participants must notify the studio and individual instructors of any pre-existing medical conditions as needed.
  8. Media Release 8.1. By participating in classes and lessons, you consent to use photographs, videos, or other media taken during classes or performances for promotional purposes. If you wish to opt out, please notify the studio in writing. Please see the media release policy for further details.
  9. Privacy Policy Personal information provided during registration will be used solely for studio purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
  10. Termination of Services 10.1. The studio reserves the right to terminate a participant’s enrollment for failure to adhere to these terms and conditions or for disruptive behavior. 10.2. Participants may terminate their enrollment with written notice. Refunds for pre-paid lessons are subject to the studio’s discretion.
  11. Amendments 11.1. These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. Participants will be notified of significant changes.
