Triple Threat Class (K - 3rd)
Broadway professional Candi Boyd runs this fun introduction to the world of musical theatre. She explores a combination of movement, singing and acting to give our young students a great foundation in a fun supportive environment.
Triple Threat Class (4th and up)
This class is for the serious performer to hone all the skills required to be a musical theatre professional. Run by Broadway star Candi Boyd, this class focuses on Acting through song, sung performance, stage movement and monologues.



Performance Class - Hamilton Theme
Here at the Sellwood Studio Performance Class, we give our students a change to work towards a sung performance involving all aspects of musical theatre.
This semester our students will be working towards a performance workshop of the hit musical Hamilton. A fun and involved class, this help students gain in confidence in performing in front of an audience.
Unlike our other classes that are shown at our end of semester recital, our performance class students get the their own showing. This will be staged and including working of the set and costumes.
This class is similar in nature to our popular summer camps and includes all theatricals skills - Singing, Movement, Acting and Design.
It promises to be a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

Saturday Show Class - Mamma Mia!
At our Saturday Show Class, we give our students a change to work towards a sung performance of this fun and entertaining musical theatre piece.
This semester our students will be working towards a performance workshop of the hit musical Mamma Mia!. A fun and involved class, this help students gain in confidence in performing in front of an audience.
Unlike our other classes that are shown at our end of semester recital, our saturday show class students get the their own showing. This will be staged and including working of the set and costumes.
This class is similar in nature to our popular summer camps and includes all theatricals skills - Singing, Movement, Acting and Design.
It promises to be a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

Bring the Sing ( up to 3rd)
We will work on the foundations of singing. Focusing on fun and building confidence Repetoire includes kids favorites, silly songs, Disney classics, pop, fun rock, Broadway theatre and even familiar TV theme tunes to help your child sing loudly, clearly, in tune and in time. There will be games, movements, simple choreography and clapping to help develop senses of rhythm and timing too.
Students will also learn the rudiments of breathing for singing, tone, tuning and most importantly, how to really enjoy singing out.
We will start to explore solo singing and performance skills
Bring the Sing (4th and up)
We will work on both group and solo singing. Focusing on fun and building confidence, repertoire comprises Broadway theatre songs, movie hits, classic and contemporary pop to help your child sing loudly, clearly, in tune and with developing style and finesse. Students will incorporate acting and performance into their singing. Most importantly they will learn to grow their skills by playing and exploring their abilities in a safe, fun, non-judgemental environment.
They will also learn the rudiments of breathing for singing, tone, tuning and most importantly, how to really enjoy singing out. We will also start to explore harmonies.

Improv and Acting Class (1st - 3rd)
A fun and highly interactive class, setting the foundation skills for improvisation and acting. Using drama games and devised pieces and basic theatre skills sessions.
Children have an opportunity to explore their creativity, while being nurtured to increase confidence and trust.
Improv and Acting Class (4th up)
These sessions centre around trust, collaboration and acting games as well as use of text and stagecraft, to give our students an introduction to the skills an actor requires in the profession. Students also explore ensemble and monologue work, as well as acting for camera.
